Welcome to Partnership! Our vision is to see people far from God become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. At CrossPoint, it is our desire to help you grow in your spiritual journey.
We help people to take their first spiritual steps after becoming a follower of Jesus Christ through the following ministries:
Baptism - It's our privilege to serve people who want to express their commitment to Christ publicly through water baptism (Acts 2:41).
Membership - After completing the following requirements for membership:
It is our joy to welcome new members into the CrossPoint Church family.
At CrossPoint we ask you to commit to church membership for four reasons:
Christ is committed to the church. "...Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." Ephesians 5:25
It is an antidote to our society. We live in an age where very few want to be committed to anything. This attitude has even produced a generation of "church shoppers and hoppers". Membership swims against the current of America's "consumer religion". It is an unselfish decision. Commitment always builds character.
It defines who can be counted on. Every team must have a roster. Every school must have an enrollment. Every business has a payroll. Every army has an enlistment. Even our country takes a census and requires voter registration Membership identifies our family.
It produces spiritual growth. The New testament places a major emphasis on the need for Christians to be accountable to each other for spiritual growth. You cannot be accountable when you're not committed to any specific church family.
At CrossPoint we never ask our members to do more than the Bible clearly teaches. We only expect our members to do what the Bible expects every Christian to do. These responsibilities are spelled out in the Membership Covenant.
"May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus" - Rom 15:5 (NKJV)
"...Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." - Luke 14:23 (NKJV)
"Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." - 1 Peter 4:10 (NKJV)
"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching." - Hebrews 10:25
