We are excited here at CrossPoint about teaching children to fall in love with Jesus!
Here's what to expect when you come to visit:
Every Sunday Morning the children come in and sign in at the check-in tables. We have a Red team, which is Preschool and Kindergarten, a Blue team for 1st thru 5th grades. After the children sign in they go straight back to their classes. Red Team is to the left when you come in the front doors and Blue team is to the right, in the gym area.
The Red Team will play games, sing songs, do crafts, hear a lesson or sometimes act it out, talk about it or see a puppet skit...whatever it takes to convey the message on their level. We use Hands On Bible curriculum for this age group. In the 2 years your child is in this class they will go through the Old and New Testament Bible Stories in a very creative, hands on way.
When 1st – 5th Graders, Blue Team, arrive to class, they have a snack, do a craft or play games in the gym before starting the lesson for the day.
The Blue Team is currently using the Kidmo Curriculum by Johnny Rogers. This is an awesome video lead lesson that will keep your children engaged in the message of God’s Word. They have a memory verse, sing songs, hear a lesson and then have a Bible quiz and are taught how to apply the lesson to their lives. The teams will compete against each other to see who has the best participation, the most enthusiasm and the best memory. At the end they break down into small groups for a chance to talk about what they’ve just experienced.
Our lessons are designed to get children thinking about what God did in the Bible and what He wants to do in their lives today. Here at CrossPoint we don't believe in babysitting your child for an hour, we believe every second is vital to pouring as much of God's message into them as possible, so that one day they will be able to make their own decisions about what God means to them in a personal relationship with Him. The young years are so important to teach and train our children about their views in life. Most of your child's attitudes about things are formed in the first 5 years of their lives. We invite you to come and experience what a difference it can make in your family to come and learn about God's word together.
